Introduction
iMicrosites is a service that allows anyone to instantly create feature-rich mobile web pages, optimized for today's modern smartphones and devices. No web programming experience is necessary; the iMicrosites solutions are designed to allow anyone to quickly and automatically create feature-rich web pages. Our online toolkit is easy to use. Simply fill in your desired details and your information is instantly transformed into your own custom iMicrosite. Preview the results instantly in our custom iPhone simulator and have the URL emailed to you for reference - it's that easy.

iMicrosites Creation Process
iMicrosites creation consists of 3 phases, the creation, preview and update phases. More information on the steps is available in the "How It Works" section in the navigation bar.

To create your new iMicrosites page, simply click the link you received in the welcome email after your purchase is complete. If you cannot locate this email, please check your "spam" folder, as it's possible the message has been marked as spam. If you still cannot locate an email from iMicrosites, contact support.

Once you have been validated by the system you will be presented with the iMicrosites creation form. A detailed explaination of each field is included below.

Building an Entire iMicrosite
iMicrosites' toolkit allows you to easily create an entire mobile website. To do this, simply sign up for a multi-page package or multiple single pages. Once done, you simply setup one page as your "main" or "home" page, and setup a navigation system to the others.

To setup the navigation for your main page, simply fill in the description and URL for your pages, as shown below:

Once you publish the page, it will look like this:

Thats all there is to it. You can even setup "top" navigation on all your subpages by checking off the "Display as top navigation" box on those pages. Finally, redirect your iPhone traffic to your new homepage. You can learn how to do this here, or contact us if you would like us to help set this up.

Adding your Logo
Select a file from your computer and click the upload button.
Jpg format only. 200K maximum file size. Images will be resized/optimized for optimal display on smart phones.
Be sure to press the upload button after choosing the logo from your desktop. Logo or homescreen icon updates should be performed prior to the rest of the steps.

Adding your Homescreen Icon
Select a file from your computer and click the upload button, or enter the URL of your logo directly in the appropriate filed. Jpg format only. 20K maximum file size. Images will be resized/optimized for optimal display on iPhone/iPod touch. be sure to press the upload button after choosing the logo from your desktop.

Choose Your Theme
You may choose any of our themes to be used for your iMicrosite. A complete list of the themes is available here.
The color picker tool allows the selection of a custom background color to be used in place of the themes default background image. In this way you can create thousands of possible theme combinations.

Add Your Site Content
Enter your pages name, title and site content. The content updater contains a full rich text formatting tool set. Format your text at the push of a button, or edit the source code directly.

Enter Optional Contact Information
To display contact information on your webpage simply fill in your desired contact details below. Our Plus and Premium accounts have several extra optional steps.

Enter Contact Form
The iMicrosites Pro and Corporate solutions support the addition of a form to your iMicrosite. Simply fill in the desired recipient, subject line and specify the fields you would like to collect. The form will be automatically added to your page, and configured to process your form and send the results to the desired recipient.

Analytics
The iMicrosites Pro and Corporate solutions support the addition of a form to your iMicrosite. Simply fill in the desired recipient, subject line and specify the fields you would like to collect. The form will be automatically added to your page, and configured to process your form and send the results to the desired recipient.

Admob Advertising
The AdMob publisher code supports both analytics and ad serving. By default, ad serving is disabled. However, only a few steps are required to enable ad serving:

Login to www.admob.com
Select the "Sites and Apps" tab and click on the "Add iPhone Site/App" link.
Once you've created a site, return to the "Sites and Apps" tab and press the "tools" quicklink.
Copy and paste your "Publisher ID" code into step 8 of your iMicrosites form.
Uncheck the "Test Mode" box and publish your page. You are now serving ads.

Create and Preview
Once you have completed the steps above, press the button below to instantly create your custom iMicrosite. .

Updating Your iMicrosites
Once your site has been published, you will receive another email containing your temporary account password. To update your pages use this information, login to the URL included in the update email. The update control panel contains additional page formatting features, so we've created a video walkthrough which demonstrates the features of the control panel. You can watch this video here.

Several new features such as the ability to display navigation at the top of your page have been added since this video was made. These features were setup in such a way to make them easy for you to implement, in this case simply tick the check box to display your navigation either at the top of the page or in the middle.

Themes
iMicrosites are available in any many different themes, shown here. Simply choose the appropriate theme from the drop down menu, and it will be applied to your page. You can also choose a cusom background color using the color picker

Custom Themes
Custom themes are available with our iMicrosites Plus and Premium packages. To create a custom theme, contact support with your transaction id, and we will send you the necessary files and instructions on how to create your theme. Simply return the theme to our support deptartment and we will install it on your pages. Installation and testing usually takes 2-3 business days but may take longer in extreme cases. The cost for custom theme integration is $399.

HTML support
All iMicrosites solutions allow users to input raw HTML source code of the content area of the page. Our Plus and Premium also allow to toggle between the source code and a rich text editor. In an effort to provide the widest range of capabilities to the end user, all iMicrosites use an XHTML 1.0 transitional doctype. JavaScript and other potentially malicious syntax has been disabled for security reasons. Customers requiring server side technologies are encouraged to consider our custom development solutions. More information is available upon request.

Most valid HTML and XHTML tags are supported in the content area of your website with iMicrosites solutions. iMicrosites software corrects most common html syntax errors automatically using an advanced HTML purifier library.

Plus/Premium Features
The iMicrosites Plus and Premium solutions provides enhanced functionality and flexibility, and may be beneficial to those customers requiring frequent content updates and additional functional or formatting capabilities. These solutions include the following enhancements to our iMicrosites standard solution.

Native App Integration
This section outlines specific HTML examples which you can use to add interactivity with Native applications on the iPhone, iPod Touch and other modern smartphones. We recommend you test each feature on the intended device to ensure compatability.

Mail
To open a link in mail.app, use the following link: <a href="mailto:adress@somewhere.com">send mail</a> You may also use the link toolbar of the content area editor, just be sure to include the mailto: prefix when entering your link. For example, enter mailto:example@address.com in the URL field and example@address.com in the text field. Leave the target field at its current setting.

Phone
To open a link in phone.app use the following link: <a href="tel:123-456-7890">call now!</a>. You may also use the link toolbar of the content area editor, just be sure to include the tel: prefix when entering your link. For example, enter tel:2125551212 in the URL field and (212) 555-1212 in the text field. Leave the target field at its current setting.

Maps
To open a link in maps.app use the following link: <a href="http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=37.0625,-95.677068&spn=
47.033113,114.257812&z=4">map of america</a> You may also use the link toolbar of the content area editor. To do so, enter the map url in the URL field and the text link's name in the text field. Leave the target field at its current setting. Note that due to the way Google formats map links, the resulting url string will not validate for the given doctype.

YouTube
To open a link in youtube.app use the following link: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCkJ7Os8fm4">Watch</a>

Audio Player
To open an audio file, use a link instead of an embed tag: <a href="http://www.yourdomain.com/file.mp3">Watch</a>

SMS
To open a link in sms.app use the following link: <a href="sms:12125551212">send</a> You may also use the link toolbar of the content area editor, just be sure to include the sms: prefix when entering your link. For example, enter sms:2125551212 in the URL field and (212) 555-1212 in the text field. Leave the target field at its current setting.

iTunes

App Store

Hosting/Domain
Receive a FREE iMicrosites domain name with every purchase. Host your site at imicrosites.com/your_name or point your domain at that address to use your own domain name. If you'd like to host your iMicrosites on your domain, simply upgrade to the Plus or Premium package and your updates will be instantly delivered via email. Simply drag and drop the file onto your server and you're good to go.

The iMicrosites package comes with 1GB of monthly data transfer, while the Pro and Premium come with 2 and 5GB respectively. We'll send you an email if it looks like you may be reaching your limit and additional bandwidth can be added for $1/GB.

Exactly how much traffic is that?
The monthly upload allowance is a measure of how much new data is transferred from your iMicrosites page in a given month. Below is a conservitive estimation of requests each account can support when serving an iMicrosites page with test page content. Your actual results will vary depending on the filesize of your final page.

iMicrosites - 60,000 page views per month

iMicrosites Plus - 150,000 page views per month

iMicrosites Premium - 300,000 page views per month

CSS Classes
iMicrosites solutions provide support for content formatting using custom classes. This section will grow as new classes are added.

nav{} - Creates an "iPhone style" navigation button
Description: Creates an "iPhone style" navigation link in the content area. Useful for adding more than 4 links or when navigation slots are used by top navigation.
Usage: a class=nav
